Certificate in Occupational Studies for the Workplace

The curriculum is designed to help learners succeed in education and make the right choices for progression, identifying a vocational progression route for the future.

Designed for learners who wish to develop skills to progress onto a Level 1 vocational programme but require support to attain their goal. You will be given the opportunity to trial vocational options on offer at Plumpton College alongside improving your English and Maths skills.

Individualised programmes are developed for each learner, ensuring that you are ready to progress onto your chosen vocation the following year. In addition to an individualised programme, you will gain an NCFE Level 1 Occupational Studies qualification.

Assessment is completed through modules, and learners will be supported to complete these throughout the year. Assessment tasks include a mixture of written, practical, discussion, role-play and product creation activities.

3 GCSEs at Grade 2 and above to include English and Maths OR an Entry level qualification in a related subject plus English and Maths, at least grade 2 or functional skills entry level 3
