Pre-employment
Offering pre-employment opportunities, such as internships, apprenticeships, or work experience programs, can bring several benefits:
- Recruitment: Identify and nurture potential employees early on, creating a pipeline of talent ready to step into positions as they open.
- Increased Engagement and Loyalty: Providing pre-employment opportunities can foster a sense of loyalty among participants, leading to higher retention rates once hired.
- Fresh Perspectives: Candidates will often bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives, which can benefit the team dynamics, company culture and improved processes.
- Community Engagement: By offering these opportunities, businesses can strengthen ties with local communities, enhancing their brand reputation and social responsibility.
- Improved Productivity: Pre-employment opportunities provide a chance for businesses to train and influence future employees, potentially resulting in a more productive workforce from the outset.
- Diversity and Inclusion: These programs can create pathways for diverse candidates, promoting a more inclusive workplace.
Investing in pre-employment opportunities can lead to long-term benefits for both businesses and candidates alike and you can receive support from your local council.
